Sorry I haven’t been updating as frequently as I promised. This week has been full of passing-out-on-the-bed-after-setting-unrealistic-alarms-for-the-next-morning nights. Guess what?

NO CLASS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo *throws confetti in the air*

Okay, that was bad. I shouldn’t be happy about having no class. But some classes are just dreadful. Like this morning’s Theme Teaching session. Blerrr. I feel nauseous just thinking about it.

Oh! And my LunchBox Project has been kinda dead. Mostly because I don’t have enough ingredients to cook :( But let’s hope I’ll go grocery shopping soon without letting any raw materials rot in the car/fridge again.

Also going stale are my photos from Australia. I should really blog about my trip in JUNE before I start forgetting the nitty-gritty details. However, I know it’s only right that I post up a thank you blog entry before I say anything about the trip. Afterall, I do have a lot of people to thank :)

And in case you don’t already know, I am crazy over trench coats. And band jackets. I saw this really awesome one at River Island but it costs SGD 199 T_________T It’s like exactly how I’ve always wanted my imaginary band jacket to be!! But too bad it costs a bomb. I shall go try it on and take a photo next time!

Anyway, here’s the one I tried on in Topman (again). I tried it for fun obviously because it’s not like I’ll ever wear it in this sort of weather anyway.

And I don’t really want it either. Now that I’m broke (again!) I can’t afford it either so.. whatever.

And the only reason I’m so broke is because of stupid AirAsia.

I booked my tickets back home for the Raya break and they cost a freaking bomb! I mean, I can easily fly to Vietnam with that kind of money and Vietnam is so much further than Miri okay?! On top of that, they had to charge for luggage AND tried to charge me for travel insurance which I didn’t wanna buy AND THEY HAD TO FREAKING CHARGE SOME FUCKING PROCESSING FEE FOR CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS.

So in order to save RM10 I paid directly through my bank account. Yes, I am so cheap and now my bank account is too.

Anyway, it’s almost 10 now. Which means it’s time for DROP DEAD DIVA – the funniest show on tv! Well, until they air Desperate Housewives at 11!! And then 90210 at midnight but I don’t care about that because it’s crap.

That’s all!

Cya!

Boo

I really really wanna go for the SingFest but I’m too broke. So I’m contemplating on how to spend the little Singaporean dollars I have left. Pay a limb to go to a concert, the first hour of which I will probably miss, or pay a third of the price to go clubbing/watch people get drunk and do stupid things.

Neither seems very feasible, right?

Guess I won’t be doing either.

But I really wanna watch Katy Perry and Orianthi and Tokio Hotel :( ((((((

Boo. My life sucks.

Hi Topman Please Hire Me

as your endorser because I really like your jackets. And no, I don’t want to be your shop assistant because that would only entitle me to 20% discount on regular priced items and that wouldn’t be good enough for me because your jackets are kinda expensive :(

Please approve my application and start showering me with free clothing terima kasih wth.

This is my application photo.

Okay now I need to bitch.

So a while ago (more than a month already?!) when I was in KL I shopped a bit at Sunway Pyramid and bought a coat similar to the one in the above photo. It looked pretty much the same except it’s navy blue and the cutting is a little less bell-bottomy. It was on the SALE rack and I thought I was quite lucky to get it for half its original price because I’d always wanted a coat like that! I hesitated a bit because it was quite pricey but finally bought it anyway because I really loved it.

After that I starved for a month and the coat became too big for me that I looked like a rat in a queen sized quilt whenever I wore it wth.

Nah. Just kidding.

ANYWAY, I paid 50% of RM 433 for it so that’s RM 216.50.

Lo and behold, when I was in Singapore for the Great Singapore Sale (which manages to live up to its title) I saw this black coat and it was only S$49 (RM 110ish)!!!! I would’ve gotten it in a heartbeat had I not bought the other coat but too bad I HAD bought the other coat =.= Both coats looked super similar  but since I couldn’t find the other one to compare, I told myself that they’re very much different and that the one I bought was probably thicker/nicer/newer/cleaner/more desirable/perfect already why still need to compare wth. Besides, I’d found the navy blue one (which I bought) at Bugis Junction the week before and it was S$129 (RM300ish) so I thought that maybe it really is a really different jacket in terms of quality but very similar in terms of appearance.

Today I went to Bugis Junction again and found out the price of the coat I bought has been slashed to S$49.

!%$#@%^!#@%^$!#@^%!$@^%$!@&^$!&#%!&^$%

FML.

HOW CAN THEY JUST SLASH 80 DOLLARS LIKE THAT WITHIN A WEEK’S TIME WHEN THE SALE HAS JUST STARTED??

And they still had my size some more!

I can’t believe I had to pay more than RM100 extra (even though I really love the coat) for ONE piece of clothing =.= Which I haven’t even worn yet T____T

So, the moral of the story is… don’t go shopping during the first week of sales. Shop when it’s about to end! Who cares if they don’t have your size anymore? Just buy as long as they’re as cheap as they can get wth

I am so heartbroken thinking about the things I could’ve done with the extra RM100 (like spending it on a whole week of meals!).

But I’ll get over it.

But I will be forever scarred wth.

Meanwhile, I’ll post more in-the-fitting-room photos. Who knew I still had the camwhore-in-the-fitting-room-with-things-you-probably-can’t-afford skills?!

The room had very good lighting so it was an awesome photo day!

Another shot of the S$49 coat. I still kinda want it but I’ve spent enough on myself :( SO MY DEAREST KIND READERS WHO FEEL THE URGE TO BE NICE TO ME YOU MAY DROP BY THE NEAREST TOPMAN STORE TO GRAB ME THIS PIECE OF FINE CLOTHING TENKIU

P6045325

Another photo with the same outfit because one must always utilise good photo days to its full potential!

P6045326

I bought this jacket. It went from S$119 to S$29. WHO CAN RESIST???

P6045327

Another photo of me in the same jacket. Apparently Niyi has been eyeing this jacket for quite some time and was willing to fork out RM300 to get it! Such a steal this is :P

(I am not going back to Topman for 2 months in case they slash the price to S$9 =.=)

(Okay now you may delete the image of this jacket because you’ll be seeing it again very soon, and repeatedly)

P6045329

I got this one too…… My first formal jacket that I can wear to formal functions!!!

Okay not really my first formal jacket but it’s the first one that is formal enough for formal events and has a cut that fits my body type and shoulder pads (all at the same time woohoo wth)! I really love the suits at G2000 but they could easily cost up to RM600 usually so……….. this is quite reasonable :D

P6045328

Oh and the polo tee is also from Topman (only S$19 ;) but I didn’t get it because I’m not a big fan of polo tees) and the pants I love love love too!

Okay that’s all.

Dear Topman please consider me seriously. I will be a very good endorser :P

Operation Save Money

In my miserable attempt to make up for the money flown into the gutter (albeit very gracefully wth) during my nostalgic 3 day trip to KL, I decided to cut down on my daily expenses. How did I plan to do it?

Eat in, stay in, no shopping.

And it was working pretty well I must say. Spent about 120 bucks on groceries (including 30 bucks for a cake I’ve yet to make) last week and didn’t eat out until….. Saturday :D Didn’t spend on anything else and  my petrol only went down by a quarter (usually it’s 3/4 to a full tank)! *beams in pride* Even my laundry was only 4 bucks (usually it’s 10+)!

So yeah, there I was, at my apartment, making lunch and dinner for myself. Which is something I wouldn’t complain about because I am a pretty creative chef if I must say so myself *coughs*. Besides, it was also very time saving which was a plus point considering last week was one of my busiest since the year started.

And I was doing so well at my plan on saving money!

Well, until Saturday that is. Went out with Cassandra and spent more than 200 in a single day. Bleh. Bought a pair of harem pants which cost a lot more than what I would usually pay for a pair of pants but I’ve been looking for those pants high and low! Even the parking was expensive that day! My eyes almost popped out of their sockets when the autopay machine read RM10 =.=

Anyway, today I thought I’d continue my mission (considering the Great Singapore Sale is less than 3 weeks away wth) and make myself lunch and dinner again. And I ended up spending more than 200 bucks again =.=

As I was about to start my car after Pathology lecture today, it died o.O So yeah… had to spend 195 on a new car battery. Boo. Cars are such a liability. But at least they give me freedom and mobility :D Which contribute to my joy and stability :D I guess they’re worth it *optimistic wth*

Gah. Operation Save Money: FAIL. FML X 100084023402734

I think I’m just going to terminate it la. The more I try to save money the more money I lose =.=

But no more shopping until the end of the month!

Wait for me Singapore! I mean, the good deals during the Great Sale :D

April

Two months ago I formulated everyday posts to be posted here, commemorating the 19 days before my journey as a 19-nager ends. When April came I was busy rushing an assignment, preparing for bedside and raiding the wards to look for a COPD patient to clerk. I’d even forgotten that 1 April was April Fool’s Day and spent the entire day not even TRYing to fool anyone. No surprise I forgot to post here every other day.

My birthday’s coming in exactly 2 weeks time and I don’t think I”ve dreaded any birthday like this one. It sucks to be stuck in JB. In the wards, in the hospital, in a constrained, political, polluted world. It sucks to grow old. It sucks to see life uncensored and realise that you’ve grown out of the rating you’re comfortable with. It sucks to grow old.

Oh wait. I think I’ve said that before.

All I need now is a good long undisturbed sleep from which I won’t have to wake up feeling guilty inside. And a break from all the fake smiles and conniving creatures around me.

Where can I find a one way ticket for this holiday? And how much will it cost?
