Contrary to popular assumption that the highlight of my Australian adventure was the retail therapy, I actually loved the climb to the top of the Pinnacles at Grampians the most! Can’t wait to show you guys the photos (how many times have I said this ah?)

School has started and although we unexpectedly had to clerk patients for bedside on the very first day, the rest of the week turned out to be pretty relaxing.

I had no class the entire day today (okay except wards rounds which aren’t compulsory ) and out of the 3 classes I was supposed to have yesterday, 2 were canceled. And I only had one 5-6 pm class on Wednesday! Because of that, I’m loving my surgical posting!

I am ashamed to say that I would love to spend the rest of my time living my life the way it is. Yesterday I managed to watch 6 episodes of Glee, which isn’t very good actually if you judge it as a show but there are some really good singers in there!

I think I’m still leveling off from the peak of activity and walking and running after buses in the hustle and bustle of the cities of Australia so now I am negatively inclined to do anything at all. Let’s just hope this doesn’t carry on for too long!

Took this self-portrait at Bondi Beach and I loved the blue skies. But on second thought, it looks like the typical background of passport photos =.= I made two trips to Bondi Beach in Sydney – once without my camera, once without a 2nd-person photographer. I wish I’d bought a deep fried Mars Bar the 2nd time around though. It is sooooooooo sinful!

I hope I’ll be back here soon again because I want to blog more this semester! I shall leave you guys with this colourful photo

as a preview of what’s to come in my life (hopefully)!

It’s my 3rd night back in Malaysia and I’m still re-adjusting to the hot and humid weather that I’m supposed to be so very used to. I think I might have contracted some sort of an infection because I feel slightly feverish and I can’t stop sleeping! Seriously. I can’t stay awake for more than 15 minutes straight and my eyes are closing on an automated mode as I’m typing this.

If you’re expecting a long and windy post filled with photos about my trip to Aussieland then I’m afraid I might disappoint you.

When I was in Melbourne I made it a point to take a photo (or tried to) with a random scribbling/graffiti on a random wall every day because on the first night I was there, Cheryl took a photo of me in front of a vandalised wall and I really liked it (at that time) (the photo, not the vandalised wall, I mean). I had 12 days in total in Australia but I only have 9 photos that fit the description. The 3 wall-photo-less days were either due to lack of a camera, a scribbled wall or a lazy me.

Anyway, here are the photos, which are probably the best sneak peak of what photos to expect from me

Day 1: Clayton, Melbourne

Having to lug your lugs everywhere is NOT fun! And I didn’t actually pack light for the trip either.

Day 2: Toorak, Melbourne

Shot taken while waiting for the tram to go to Camberwell market. I was still very unimpressed with Melbourne at the time.

Day 3: Melbourne Central.

Finally the more vibrant part of this metropolitan city!

Day 4: Mount Dandenong, Melbourne

Those boots were not made for stair-climbing. Neither were those legs.

Day 5: South Melbourne

Taken next to St Ali Cafe, a small little hidden gem. Those boots are not made for DFO’s.

Day 6: Oakleigh Station, Melbourne

The day I finally got to go to Queen Vic Market. And had to leave Melbourne

Day 7: The Pinnacles, Grampians National Park

Day 8:

Wasn’t looking for walls because I was kinda rushing to the airport to catch my flight to Sydney.

Day 9:

First day in Sydney and I brought my camera out but left the memory card slotted in my laptop =.=

Day 10: Newtown, Sydney

Favourite place in the world (for now)! Most of the shops were closed though so we went to the city afterwards.

Some damage done before flying home. Would’ve bought more because everything was so cheap! Too bad I was running out of luggage space

Okay that’s all for now.

I really miss Australia

But I’m thankful for cheap food!
