So I’ll randomly insert them in this post.

It’s been a month since I settled at this page. Most of the time I never get past the act of either uploading photos onto Flickr or thinking of what to type out. I hope you guys miss me being nonsensical on this humble blog.
It’s been quite a month I must say! Just got back from my rural placement down south (my Geography teacher must be so proud of me now) in Segamat, Johor. And speaking of that, I just realised that I’ve not blogged about LAST YEAR’s rural trip!

Anyway, this year we were down in Segamat for 2 weeks and surprisingly, the experience overall was pretty awesome! Undeniably, there were ups and there were downs, some juicy moments, some dry moments but on the whole, everything turned out to be great. I wouldn’t mind staying there a WEE BIT longer to be honest. Aside from constantly having to meet up for group discussions, the schedule was pretty loose I would say. It was a good change from the hectic timetable we normally have here in Sunway and as I continue typing, I feel increasingly heavy-hearted that we had to leave so soon

So how has everyone been?
I apologize for my absence on my blog. I guess medical school has finally gotten the better of me. And a whole chunk of my leisure time. And as the days go by, I find my priorities changing bit by bit because the bigger picture has just started to surface. Some things don’t seem to be worthy of much of my attention and time anymore. Oh well, the norms of life sometimes feel so abnormal.

Oh! I turned 19.
In fact, it’s been almost a month since that happened. I’m still not used to this fact though. I enjoyed being a wide-eyed (unfortunately, this can only used as a figure of speech in my case) 18 very much. Every year I seem to blog about my birthday celebrations way too late and I don’t think this year will be an exception. So yeah, just wanna take this opportunity to say a quick thank you to everyone who made an effort to make my birthday more special than any other day.

Thanks Nick, Rachel and Sarah for the lunch at Food Foundry?
Thanks Carmen, Kevin and Ryan for the blueberry cheesecake at the guardhouse.
Thanks everyone for the birthday song, bookmarks hanging between trees and err cream puffs :S
Thanks Arif, Dan, Evonnebabe, Jo, Pat and Stella for the birthday dinner and cakes. And Jeremy and Tshek Zen too.
Thanks Elaine and Sha for calling. It was nice hearing your very familiar voices.
Thanks BFF and Zoe for bringing me out for a belated birthday dinner at the errrr.. the restaurant opposite Penang Village in that mall I’ve never been to.
Thanks Evonnebabe, Grace, Jun Yet, Nick, Rachel, Sarah, Tim and Wai Beng for dinner at Tropicana which took forever to get to.
Thanks everyone who bothered spending more than 5 seconds to text/Facebook-wall me.
Wah I didn’t realise I had so many people to thank until I started listing them out. I’m kinda tired now. Although I totally slept for 16 hours. I think I’m compensating for all the sleep time I’ve lost over the month or so. I think I’m gonna go off now, do some uni work and retire to my polluted bed.

Til the next post.
Cya!
XOXO
