Year 3, Here I Come!

Results were released 3 days ago, a day earlier than they were supposed to be and I must say I was pleasantly surprised to find that ‘D’ on my transcript. Me? Distinction? Gosh, God is so generous this time. Okay, and that time during A-levels as well. And every other time…. so yeah. I’m guessing probably about half my batch did better than I did and I guess if only I’d given an extra hour each day to actually study (and judging from the time I spent on sleep, an hour shouldn’t be significant at all) then I might have been able to scrape myself a hole into High Distinction.

But I’m not complaining.

Heck. Why would I anyway? I’m ecstatic!

A little more than a month ago I’d had palpitations waiting for them to send out notifications to those who needed to sit for supplementary exams. When I didn’t get anything, I was relieved for like five seconds. Then I thought to myself, “OMG WHAT IF I DID SO BADLY THEY WOULDN’T EVEN LET ME SIT FOR SUPPS??”. When I’d calmed down I would convince myself that they wouldn’t be THAT evil. Then every time someone brings up the issue the cycle repeats itself. I know I sound so pathetic but if you’ve been in my shoes this year, you’d probably act the same way too. Plus, they told me that last year almost half the batch had to take supps =.=

But all is well now.

There’s still more than a month before Year 3 starts la so let’s keep our fingers crossed that nothing bizarre happens in between please please please please.

Honestly, I feel so bad for those who have to repeat Year 2. I don’t know what to say without potentially offending anyone so I will not.

And to those who passed, stop comparing your marks can ah?

As long as you’ve made it, your actual grade doesn’t matter much lah please. Except to boost your ego which can already feed an entire nation as it is.

And except, like, when you’re trying to convince your parents to get you that camera you’ve been asking for since forever.

And I got a new camera! *hyperventilates*
