I think it’s safe to say that everyone has a hobby. There’s always an activity that sticks out for each person, whether it’s something they enjoy doing, something to kill time, something to nurture a habit, or just something purely for fun!

As for me, I enjoy taking jumpshots and (as if I haven’t proven myself enough,) here’s a jumpshot of yours truly!

Nowadays with the price of air tickets going lower and lower, it appears that more and more people have picked up traveling as a staple hobby.

I am SO jealous of people who get to travel all the time! They get to experience different cultures, eat the craziest, most exotic food, satisfy their eyes with the most amazing architectural developments, witness snow on their noses (and then proceed to shiver like mad WAKAKAKA) and the list just goes on and on and on.

Bah. I’m getting so bitter just thinking about not being to travel so often T_______T

You know, I probably wouldn’t be cooped up at home now if only I’d picked up this hobby earlier in the year:

STALKING THE MALAYSIA AIRLINES WEBSITE FOR CHEAP TICKETS!

Okay, stalking is probably the wrong word.. more like err, checking regularly?

Yeap. I should have checked the Malaysia Airlines website more often before the holidays started. Then I might just be on a plane now, eating a neatly packed MAS airplane meal (i love airplane food!), getting free chocolates and complimentary ice cream (they gave Baskin Robbins the last time I was on the plane yo!).

I guess now I can start checking the website every 1/34839 second because Malaysia Airlines has just launched a new website :)

It’s a very simple booking engine designed to be surfed on mobile phones so it’s super fast! If your mobile phone doesn’t support GPRS/EDGE/3G/3.5G/wifi (meaning you can’t go online using your phone la!), you can still use your computer to access the website. It’s a lot faster than booking through the official website!

And it’s really easy to use too. Seriously, it’s so simple to use you won’t even need anyone to teach you.

But I’m going to teach you anyway :P

I’m going to teach you how to book tickets using flymas.mobi FLIGHT ATTENDANT STYLE!

Step 1: Using your mobile phone, enter the website http://flymas.mobi

Step 2: You’ll reach the main page, where you can proceed either to manage your booking, check in or check your flight status and special offers et cetera. To search for a flight, select Book Flight :)

Step 3: It will lead you to a page that allows you to choose your desired flight’s origin and destination, dates and other ticket details. So after you’ve completed everything, just click on ‘Book’

Step 4: Almost immediately, all the available flights together with the time and price will appear! Click on the time you wish to fly and it will bring you to the next page where..

Step 5: You can choose to either purchase your ticket or hold it and pay later on (tickets are held for only 24 hours)…

Step 6: Next, fill in your particulars. Easy peasy. And once you’ve done that just confirm your details and proceed to make your payment either in the next page (if you have chosen ‘Purchase’ earlier on) or pay anytime within the next 24 hours (if you have chosen ‘Hold’)!

Don’t forget to write down your booking number!!

Easy, ain’t it? The whole process took me less than 8 minutes which included me fidgeting around with my camera while trying to take photos of my phone =.= And I was using GPRS which is usually super slowwww.. so if I have 3G coverage here it’ll be even faster!

Sigh. I really wished they’d introduce this website earlier :(

There are also other features on the website such as:

the Flight Status, if you want to know if the flights have been delayed or not;

the Timetable, to allow you to check if there are any flights to your desired destination within any day of the week;

the Contacts, where you can find their hotline;

and Baggage Tracer, if you’ve been unable to claim your baggage upon arrival!
